About Me

My name is Victoria and I'm a fresh MSci Computer Science graduate with a passion for Web & Software Development and Artificial Intelligence. Throughout my coding journey, I have gained experience with numerous programming languages and developed a variety of Mobile, Front-End and Back-End applications.

Passion

My enthusiasm for Web & Software development began in highschool, when I had to create a Front-End project on a topic of my choice for my Information Technology & Communications module. Completing this assignment had been one of the first times when I felt a genuine sense of accomplishment. The creative freedom teaching myself HTML and CSS had given me combined with my prior interest in programming ignited an insatiable desire to learn more about developing applications.

Motivation

When the time came, it felt only natural to continue my education in the domain by pursuing a BSc followed by a MSci degree in Computer Science. The variety of experiences this course has given me was not only intellectually stimulating, but has also offered me the opportunity to extend my programming horizons and grow in many ways. During this programme I was able to efficiently work as part of a team, coordinate my own group, improve my time management and many other soft skills.

Interests

At the moment, I'm learning about blockchain technologies and Web3 Decentralised Web Development with the Internet Computer. I have recently completed my first Decentralised Finance Application, which sparked my interest in what other possibilities the blockchain offers. My other interests include Artificial Intelligence, which was the topic of both my dissertations in university. I'm currently studying about various Adversarial Attacks on Convolutional Neural Networks and ways to improve their robustness.

Bolt Smart is an iOS Mobile Application that serves the purpose of helping Bolt fleet drivers calculate their NET income after subtracting the Bolt, Fleet and other taxes. Users can customize the commissions they owe from the Settings Page and input their gross and cash income in the Calculator Page to display their net income.

Stock Ready

Java

Stock Ready is an Android Mobile Application which can be used for checking real-time and historical data about stocks as well as the fluctutation in the value of two stocks between a certain period which will be displayed in the form of a graph. The application uses the AlphaVantage API to access the stock prices, which are retrieved in the form of CSV files.
